All the single ladies, put your hands up!

Yes! I am an independent woman and managed to put this piece of wonderful Ikea-furniture together all by myself. I wonder if Beyoncé's ever done that. It isn't perfectly stable, I don't know how long it will take before it falls apart or if it will survive my moving out in a couple of months... But for carrying socks and underwear it'll be just fine.

Concerning the Jamie Oliver book on top of it: I cooked his Chicken Tikka Masala yesterday and made the inevitable mistake of rubbing my eye after cutting up the peppers and gingers: ouch!

Also: how good is the new Ghinzu album?

THE COMING OF SPRING

Het is jullie vast niet ontgaan: de lente is begonnen. Terrassen worden weer massaal bevolkt, parken puilen uit, zonnebrillen op, winterjassen uit! Gisteren kocht ik panda-aardbeien (je weet wel, van die met een Wereld Natuur Fonds-sticker op de verpakking) en vanmiddag at ik me misselijk aan crunchy paaseitjes. Bij dit euforische gevoel (de lentevreugde, niet de misselijkheid) hoort natuurlijk een passend muziekje. Daarom, lieve bloglezers, en aangezien het feit dat ik jullie vast nog wel op één hand kan tellen, bied ik hierbij mijn voorjaarsmixcd'tje aan dat ik twee jaar geleden al bij elkaar heb gescharreld. Ik fröbelde er zelfs ook nog een hoesje bij. Geniet ervan!
